Шутка, присланная мне из Америки

Did I tell you the funny (true) story about Montana (a state near Wyoming and equally without many Jews). The police in Montana needed a dog for anti-terrorist work. It was cheaper to get such a dog from Israel and so they did. But the problem was that the dog only «spoke» Hebrew and no English. The Israelis had sent along a paper with transliteration from Hebrew into English of the commands, but the Police Chief’s Hebrew accent, evidently, was not good and the dog did not understand. So the police started to look for a Jew who could help. They found a Chabad rabbi and he came and spoke to the dog, who understood him and followed all the directions. then the rabbi started to give Hebrew lessons to the policemen. The story was reported in the New York Times and on national radio and tv.
